    Publishing Changes

    Publishing Items

     

    Why Publishing is important?

    Publishing your changes (within the data tree or in permissions) is crucial to make these available to lower-level users. Any unpublished change will not be reflected in their interface.

     

     

    • Once you’re ready to confirm changes made in the Documents or Permissions areas, you can activate the Publishing window via right-click context menus on a single or multiple selections, or the ‘Publish All’ button.

     

    From the Documents Tab

    ‘Publish All’ button - In red when changes are waiting to be published

     

    • Within the Publishing window, you can choose to disable/enable the Alert Matrix, notifying users of documents becoming available to them. You can also manage the display of the changes you want to be published and have an overview of the listed changes.

     

    • Tick box to only display my changes only (default on) and radio buttons to change the display based on changes types
    • Exporting the list view to Excel
    • Overview of the changes listed above
    • Tick box to bypass the notifications settings from the users' profile and notifications default behavior
    • Action buttons

     

    • Click ‘Publish’ to confirm your changes and send out notifications if needed.

     

     

    From the Permissions Tab

     

    • In the Permissions tab, look out for the ‘Publish’ button.

     

     

    • Within the Publishing window, you can choose to disable/enable the Alert Matrix, notifying users of documents becoming available to them. You can also manage the display of the changes you want to be published and have an overview of the listed changes.

     

    • Drop-down menu to change the display based on changes types

    • Notifications default behavior
    • Action buttons

     

    • Click ‘Publish’ to confirm your changes and send out notifications if needed.

     

     

    Reminder when leaving a tab

     

    • Whether you're leaving the Documents or the Permissions tab and you still have changes to be published, the platform will prompt you to publish your changes. This screen needs action from you:
      • Publish: leads you to the Publishing screen
      • Ok: dismiss the notification and leads you to the area you clicked on
      • Cancel: dismiss the notification and makes you stay in the area you tried to leave
      • Don't display again for session + Ok: dismiss the related notifications for the entire session and leads you to the area you clicked on
      • Don't display again for session + Publish: dismiss the related notifications for the entire session and leads you to the Publishing screen
