Managing Data Room Status
A room can exist in several states, each with specific characteristics and restrictions:
- In Preparation: This preliminary state prevents bidders from accessing the room. It's ideal when you're setting up or configuring the room and want to restrict entry.
- Open: The open status provides full access and complete functionality. All participants can interact with and use all room features freely.
- Locked: When a room is locked, bidder access is restricted. This state is typically used during maintenance or when you need to temporarily pause room activities.
- Frozen: A frozen status prevents any changes from being made. This ensures the room's current state remains static and unaltered.
- Closed: Closed rooms limit user interaction and may be automatically purged by the system after a certain period.
- Dormant: A dormant room remains on the platform but is essentially inactive. Unlike closed rooms, dormant rooms are not deleted.
Choose the appropriate status based on your current operational needs and room management requirements.
Changing the Status of the Data Room
As a Deal Manager, you have the ability to change the status of the Data Room from In Preparation to Open, then between Open and Locked. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log into the Data Room.
- Navigate to the Settings tab.
- Click on Status.
- Select the desired status change by clicking on the coloured square.
