If you have changed your mobile device or no longer have access to your existing authenticator application, you may need to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) again using a new QR code.
Why Am I Being Asked to Set Up a New Authenticator?
This commonly occurs when:
- You have changed or replaced your mobile device.
- You have uninstalled the authenticator application from your device.
- You no longer have access to the device previously used for authentication.
- The authenticator application has been reset or reconfigured.
In these situations, a new QR code is required to register your new device.
How Do I Set Up the Authenticator Application on a New Device?
To register a new device, you will need to reset your password.
- Navigate to the Data Room login page.
- Click Forgot Password.
- Complete the Password Reset Process
Once the password reset has been completed:
- Log in to the Data Room using your new password.
- A new QR code will be presented.
- Open your authenticator application on your new device.
- Scan the QR code.
- Complete the authentication setup process.
Your new device will now be linked to your account.
What Happens When I Reset My Password?
Completing the password reset process automatically resets the second-level authenticator associated with your account.
This allows:
- The previous authenticator registration to be removed.
- A new QR code to be generated.
- A new device to be registered successfully.
If you are unable to reset your password or register your new authenticator device, please contact the Support Team for assistance.
